Unicenter Service Catalog and Unicenter Service Accounting r11.2 SP1 was released on November 21, 2007 and is available to eligible customers currently on maintenance and support. This release provides the following high-level enhancements in addition to providing a cumulative service update for the product and incorporates all fixes provided in prior r11.x maintenance updates through September 2007.

  • Localization in French, German, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Spanish and Korean.
  • CA eIAM synchronize utility.
  • Catalog Form enhancement.
  • CA SiteMinder support.

Migrating from Unicenter Service Catalog and Unicenter Service Accounting r11.0, r11.1 to r11.2 is simple; please contact support to get the latest migration patch. Moving to r11.2 SP1 is an in place upgrade from r11.2. Refer to the r11.2 SP1 implementation guide for details.

CA Support recommends all customers currently using any previous r11.x releases (r11.0, r11.1 & r11.2) uptake the r11.2 SP1 version at their first opportunity to take advantage of the fixes contained in this new release. All published fixes for the r11 product release will be provided on the latest service update version.

PLEASE NOTE: Customers on r11.1 of Unicenter Service Catalog and Unicenter Service Accounting that have an integration with Unicenter Service Assure r11.1 should not upgrade and will continue to receive support on r11.1.

To enable our customers to better understand the support lifecycle of CA products for their planning purposes, CA has posted the CA Corporate Support Policy on the SupportConnect site. This policy defines supported releases as (A) the latest major Generally Available (GA) release and (B) one previous major release (GA-1). For the Unicenter Service Catalog and Unicenter Service Accounting product line, Unicenter Service Catalog and Unicenter Service Accounting r11.2 SP1 represents the GA version and Unicenter Service Catalog and Unicenter Service Accounting r11.1 represents the GA-1 release.

Migration efforts of our customers who are still operating on versions of Unicenter Service Catalog and Unicenter Service Accounting prior to r11.2 SP1, should note the EOS (End of Support) for Unicenter Service Catalog and Unicenter Service Accounting v2.2 is April 30, 2008 (as announced previously in April 2007). Unicenter Service Catalog and Unicenter Service Accounting r11.0 EOS is November 30, 2008.

It is our strategic goal to provide effective and timely fixes for any critical issues that our customers may encounter. Focusing all published patches on the latest service update is a key element to making this approach work. We ask that our customers be active partners in this process by installing the latest maintenance updates as they come available so that in addition to getting fixes for all discovered items, you are also prepared for any new critical fixes that may be required going forward.
