Based on substantial customer feedback, we are changing the way we handle patches for Unicenter ServicePlus Service Desk (USPSD) and for Unicenter ServicePlus Knowledge Tools (USPKT).

Starting with USPSD 6.0 SP1 and USPKT 6.0 SP1, we will be providing all USPSD 6.0 SP1 and USPKT 6.0 SP1 patches using a "cumulative patch" model. This new approach means that when we provide you with a new published patch, it will include all currently published patches. This ensures that your Service Desk or your Knowledge Tools implementation is kept up to date with all of the latest fixes - simplifying the maintenance of your system as well as helping the support team keep your system running at peak performance.

This new approach to providing patches will dramatically reduce the number of patches necessary to bring your system up to date and will virtually eliminate the challenges we previously had with matching up patches with prerequisite and co requisite patches. The new patches will be provided at the component level - Server, web server, client, reporting, etc. Now you will only need to apply a few patches, at most, to bring your implementation up to the current, fully patched, maintenance level.
