The Microsoft hotfix referenced in article http://support.microsoft.com/?id=923996 resolves the problems that occur with Internet Explorer after applying the patches identified in Microsoft Security bulletin MS06-42. The Unicenter Service Desk web client interface works as expected after applying this hotfix.

Please follow the instructions outlined in the Knowledge Article to obtain and install the hotfix.

Microsoft released a security bulletin for Internet Explorer which includes fix KB918899. This causes problems when using the Unicenter Service Desk web client versions 6.x and 11.x. At this time, we are asking all customers to not install this fix and uninstall it if you have already done so. Please note this affects the Unicenter Service Desk web client versions 6.x and 11.x only and not the Service Desk Java Client. CA Technical Support is working on a solution as we speak and will post updates to SupportConnect as soon as we have any additional information. Thank you for your patience in regard to this matter.
