1.0 Welcome

This System Requirements file contains important information about Unicenter® Software Delivery (Software Delivery) that was not available when the current documentation was published or should otherwise be highlighted.

2.0 System Requirements for Unicenter® Software Delivery 4.0 Components

2.1 Express Manager Installation

Operating System: Windows NT 4.0 SP6, Windows 2000 Server SP2, Windows 2000 Advanced Server SP2, Windows Server 2003.
Product Dependencies: MS Internet Explorer v5.0
MS SQL Server 6.5 SP5, 7.0 SP3 or 2000
Note that SQL Server must be using mixed-mode authentication, and with a sort order of dictionary, case-sensitive.

The Express Manager integrates with Unicenter® TNG 2.4, Unicenter® Network and Systems Management (Unicenter NSM) 3.0 and CA Common Services™ (CCS) 3.0.
If none of Unicenter TNG 2.4, Unicenter NSM 3.0 or CCS 3.0 is already present, the following CCS 3.0 components will be installed:
Enterprise Management,
WorldView
Memory (RAM) requirements: 256 MB minimum, 512+ MB preferred.
Free Disk Space Requirements: 200 MB for Local Server
80 MB for the Database
200 MB minimum for the Software Library

2.2 Express Agent Installation

For an Autonomous Local Server:

For an Enterprise Member Local Server:

Memory (RAM) requirements: An Enterprise-Member Local Server installation requires:

An Autonomous Local Server installation requires:

Winsock2 support is downloadable from www.microsoft.com.
Memory (RAM) requirements: 32 MB minimum, 64+ MB preferred.

2.9 Unicenter® Software Delivery Agent for Windows CE 2.11

Operating System: Windows CE v2.11.
Memory (RAM) requirements: 8 MB minimum, 16+ MB preferred.

2.10 Unicenter® Software Delivery Agent for Windows CE 3.0

Operating System: Windows CE v3.0.

The above figures are typical for installations to NTFS partitions. Disk space usage for a FAT partition install will vary dramatically depending on the allocation unit of the drive. In certain system configurations it may consume substantially more space.
