We at Computer Associates International Inc. are proud of our ongoing product development, customer support, and maintenance programs. As part of these programs, we regularly release updated versions of our products. We are pleased to announce that Unicenter® Network and Systems Management (NSM) r3.1 for UNIX and Linux is now generally available. In addition to the incorporation of new maintenance, additional features for Unicenter® NSM r3.1 for UNIX and Linux include:

• Improvement of the installation process by making NSM kernel hooks optional
• Optional use of Unicenter Software Delivery for automatic deployment of System and Performance agents
• In a Linux environment, deployment of Agent Technology through RPM
• SDK improvements - ex. The Calendar SDK was ported from Windows
• In addition, this version of Unicenter® NSM 3.1 includes support for remote monitoring of UNIX, Linux and Mac environments

While there are no functional changes to Unicenter® NSM r3.1 on Windows (CD #1), because of minor changes in the supplemental material, the version was updated to Genlevel 0403. The minor changes included are product explorer catalog updates, documentation, bitmap updates, and an install script fix.
