Today we are pleased to announce the general availability of the CA Unicenter Network and Systems Management Active Directory Agent r11.1.

The Active Directory (AD) monitoring solution of Unicenter Network and Systems Management r11.1 (Unicenter NSM r11.1) monitors Active Directory domain controllers and gathers a comprehensive amount of Active Directory-related information from the monitored environment.

Active Directory Management extends the Active Directory monitoring solution of Unicenter NSM r11.1 by an enterprise-wide view of the Active Directory environment, showing Active Directory topology as well as the logical and physical relationships between Active Directory components.

The new CA Unicenter NSM r11.1 Active Directory Management solution delivers two key areas of functionality, Active Directory Explorer and Knowledge Base for Active Directory.

The AD Explorer will allow administrators to:

  • View the domain topology and deployment of essential AD components and services such as Global Catalogs and FSMO servers.
  • Gather enterprise-wide statistic records in the context of the AD topology.
  • Provide reports on essential AD key statistics to support service levels.
  • Schedule diagnostic monitoring scripts on important AD health metrics to proactively detect problems.

The AD Explorer component is comprised of the following sub components:

  • AD Agent
  • AD GUI
  • AD Enterprise Manager
  • AD Reporting

The associated Knowledge Base provides information for troubleshooting Active Directory problems.
