6.0 Updates

Dear Valued Client:

In an effort to provide quicker turnaround on issues, we are making service releases and eFixes available for download.

These eFixes and releases include product corrections to problems encountered in CA SupportBridge Solutions 6.0, which have been developed following its release in February 2007. The service release builds are cumulative so it is not necessary to install earlier releases or eFixes prior to installing one of these builds.

The corrections in these builds have been tested and verified by other clients and our QA team. However, please note that while the corrections have been verified, the QA testing done on these builds is not up to the same level of the testing done on a Service Pack. In order to provide you with these interim builds, the testing on them had to be scaled down to allow for a quicker turnaround.

These patch build(s) are compatible only with CA SupportBridge Solutions 6.0.

Service Releases

eFixes

The items listed below are temporary solutions for specific problems that you may want to install if you see the behavior described in the Solution Record. These temporary fixes are not cumulative and should only be installed over a particular release level as indicated below. These temporary fixes will be included in the next service release for CA SupportBridge Solutions 6.0

6.0 Service Release 1

  • eFix 1 Fixes an Automated Tasks issue when techs are handling multiple incidents and when techs are consulted. Also includes several other small fixes. See the included readme file for details. (Nov 28, 2007) Readme updated Dec 07, 2007

6.0 Release

  • eFix 1 Resolves issues with desktop sharing on Windows Vista and some issues with script authoring and execution. See the readme for more details.(Feb 27, 2007)
  • eFix 2 Fixes a scripting issue that prevents some scripts from working. Fixes duplicate rows in the Technician Login/Logout report. See the readme for more details.(Mar 29, 2007)

  • eFix 3 Fixes some scripting issues, a Desktop sharing connection quality reporting issue, an HTTPS weblaunch issue, a Service Desk integration issue and an issue with the TConnect client update. See the 6.0 readme for more details. (June 08, 2007)
  • eFix 4 Fixes an issue preventing the Automated task function ExecuteRC from working. See the readme for more details. (July 23, 2007)

  • eFix 5 Dynamic data routing server selection added. Resolved duplicate "default chat" preset messages and a couple of survey issues. See the readme for more details. (August 23, 2007)

  • eFix 6 Fixed some minor issues with dynamic DRS selection and added the ability for WebLaunch to prompt for proxy credentials if required. See the readme for more details. (September 17, 2007)

  • eFix 7 Fixed a crash that could occur when closing the incident after desktop sharing when Data Routing Servers are deployed. This fix should not be required if Data Routing Servers are not used. (October 04, 2007)
