Computer Associates International, Inc. (CA) is continually working to improve our software and services to best meet the needs of our customers. In order to effectively support the latest computing environments and those of the future, we continually evaluate our products to determine their strategic direction. In order to focus our development and support efforts on our most strategic business tools we have decided we will be dropping support on ArcserveIT for UNIX 6.6, ArcserveIT for UNIX 6.61, BrightStor Enterprise Backup 10.0, ASO 1.0 for Windows, Unicenter Advance Storage Option (ASO) 1.0 for NetWare, ASO 1.0 for UNIX, ASO 1.1 for Windows, ASO 1.1 for NetWare, ASO 1.1 for UNIX, ASO 6.61 for Windows, ASO 6.61 for UNIX and ASO 7.0 for Windows.

This means the products mention above will no longer be enhanced and the maintenance and technical support for these products will continue only through December 31st, 2005 or the end of your current maintenance or licensing term, whichever is later.

All the features, functions and technologies of these products will continue to be maintained and further developed as CA ARCserve Backup r11.1 and beyond.

CA is committed to providing superior support to our customers using our technology solutions. We are pleased to announce Lifeline Services - an Extended Support Services option from CA designed to extend support for older versions of CA products that have been officially discontinued.
