1. A zip file containing the new LicenseIT software (version 108.1).

New Features
* No new features added within this version.

Fixes

* Correct installation problem with LicenseIT version 107.2 on Windows 2000
whereby install process would abort after initialization.

* Unable to connect to the LicenseIT repository if the machine LicenseIT had
been installed on was upgraded to Windows 2000.

* Local subnet discovery on Windows 2000 retrieves incorrect subnet mask and
IP address.

To install LicenseIT and begin the process of licensing Computer Associates software
for your enterprise please follow the steps listed below:

1. Unzip the new LicenseIT software (after downloading).
2. If you do not have LicenseIT already installed, please skip to step 5.
3. Close the LicenseIT application if running.
4. Uninstall LicenseIT from your system by either selecting "Uninstall LicenseIT" from
the LicenseIT program group or through use of the Add/Remove Programs selection from
within the Windows NT Control Panel. If you wish to preserve your existing repository
information you must first review the document "UpdateDB.doc" located within the
DOC\UPDATEDB directory on the install image before proceeding.
5. Begin the installation of LicenseIT by executing SETUP.EXE located in the root
of the install image.
6. Execute LicenseIT to begin the process of licensing software for your enterprise.

Please review the LicenseIT.PDF file located in the \DOC directory of the LicenseIT install
image if there any questions or concerns on licensing Computer Associates software for
your enterprise.

If your questions cannot be answered after reviewing this document please contact your
local support center for further assistance.

Please note, that if machines discovered through use of the LicenseIT discovery engine are
running Windows 2000 and have an SNMP agent installed on them, they be classified as either
Windows NT Server (if Windows 2000 Server or Advanced Server is installed) or Windows NT
if Windows 2000 Professional Edition is installed). The SNMP Agent running on Windows 2000
reports back the same SNMP OID as Windows NT does. Within LicenseIT you should continue to use
the Windows NT Server class to represent machines installed with Windows 2000 Server or
Advanced Server and Windows NT to represent machines installed with Windows 2000
Professional Edition.
