Announcing the Release of the Patch Management Utility
and CA Protection Suites r2 SP1 Remaster

As a result, we are releasing an updated CA Protection Suites CD image and a new Patch Management utility.

• Updated CD Image: Licensed CA Protection Suites r2 customers should download the updated CD image if the following conditions apply:
  
  
  • If you have not yet installed CA Protection Suites r2. We have updated the installation and deployment processes to provide more efficient implementation.
  • If you want to upgrade the Server Backup component. The updated Server Backup component now includes USB support for tape devices.


• Patch Management: CA now provides a utility to download and distribute CA Protection Suite updates automatically, to keep you up to date with software patches for the suites and their components. We encourage all CA Protection Suites customers to download and install the Patch Management utility.
