Product Alert: Remediation Procedure to Support Windows XP SP2 for ePP

Windows XP SP2 introduced a Windows Firewall component. By default the firewall is set to block ports that eTrust Pest Patrol needs. We would recommend to perform the following:

For ePP 5.0, 5.0.1 and 5.0.2 installations, please run the PPEnablePorts.exe utility. The utility can be downloaded from ftp://ftp.ca.com/pub/inoculan/PPEnablePorts.exe. The utility should be run on all Windows XP SP2 client machines that will be managed by eTrust Pest Patrol.
