End of Service Announcement for eTrust PestPatrol Anti-Spyware Corporate Edition Releases 5.01 and 5.02

Dear Valued eTrust PestPatrol Anti-Spyware Customer:

To ensure our customers have the most up-to-date software and information available, we would like to take this opportunity to review the support schedule for currently supported releases of CA Anti-Spyware.

Now that CA Anti-Spyware r8.1 is generally available, support for r5.01 and r5.02 will be discontinued as of May 31, 2008. At this time, we encourage you to plan for the migration to CA Anti-Spyware r8.1 as soon as possible so you will have uninterrupted support and benefits of the latest features and enhancements this release has to offer.

CA Anti-Spyware r8.1 detects and removes spyware and non-viral malware to help protect organizations of all sizes from diminished PC performance, unauthorized access and information theft. CA Anti-Spyware offers a highly scalable, centrally-managed, anti-spyware solution that is easy to deploy and manage in an enterprise environment.

The new features in CA Anti-Spyware r8.1 are:

  • Agent GUI

  • Real-time Protection

  • Additional Language Support

    • In addition to supporting English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Japanese, CA Anti-Spyware now supports Brazilian Portuguese, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese.

To help with this transition, we are offering the following:

  • A no-charge software upgrade from eTrust PestPatrol Anti-Spyware Corporate Edition r5.01 and r5.02 to CA Anti-Spyware r8.1 for any customer with an active maintenance contract.

  • Documentation to help prepare you for your upgrade to CA Anti-Spyware r8.1 available at SupportConnect.ca.com.

  • CA Technology Services, available to provide consulting services for any or all parts of the upgrade, including analysis of the current system, preparation for the upgrade, testing, and performing the upgrade itself.
