Computer Associates International, Inc. (CA) is continually working to improve our software and services to best meet the needs of our customers. In order to effectively support the latest computing environments and those of the future, we continually evaluate our products to determine their strategic direction. In order to focus our development and support efforts on our most strategic business tools it has become necessary to discontinue support on some of our older product releases. Effective February 25, 2006, support for the following products will be discontinued:

• SilentRunner v2.0.1, v3.0, v3.01
  
  
• Unicenter Network Forensics r4

eTrust Network Forensics r8 offers the following new features and enhancements:

• Enhanced Database Support - eTrust Network Forensics provides an embedded Ingres r3 DBMS. With an Ingres r3 database embedded in the single platform version for laptops, you no longer need to purchase a separately licensed database. In addition, eTrust Network Forensics now supports Oracle 10g.
  
  
• Enhanced Flexible Architecture
  
  
  • System Availability - Reduces down time through self-checking and self-healing capabilities that automatically checks self-health status and restarts failed services without user intervention.
    
    
  • Data Management - Effectively manages data flow and prevents creeping of database table sizes through self-managing data management with configurable data retention options.
    
    
  • Wireless Ethernet LAN Monitoring - Captures and analyzes wireless Ethernet 802.11b and 802.11g.
    
    
• Appliance Option - eTrust Network Forensics product components are now available on a secure, high performance turn-key system appliance that scales to enterprise-class requirements.

With an active maintenance contract, you are entitled to receive an upgrade to eTrust Network Forensics r8 free of change. Our Network Forensics specialists are ready to help you take advantage of the latest features and enhancements that are part of our award winning eTrust Network Forensics r8 product.
