Computer Associates International, Inc. (CA) is constantly striving to improve our software and services to best meet your needs. As we work to develop superior functionality and embrace advanced technology, it is sometimes necessary to discontinue support of some of our older product releases in order to focus development efforts on new releases.

Therefore, effective May 1, 2004, we will be dropping support for all releases of eTrust™ Intrusion Detection v1.4. CA's eTrust™ Intrusion Detection Development Team announced the general availability of eTrust™ Intrusion Detection v2.0 SP1 in November 2002. This new version includes numerous enhancements, including improved memory handling, more efficient workspace management and persistent URL blocking to help ensure consistent operation even under high traffic loads. Additional information regarding eTrust Intrusion Detection v2.0 SP1 can be found on supportconnect.ca.com.

It is important that you upgrade from earlier versions of eTrust™ Intrusion Detection to eTrust Intrusion Detection v2.0 SP1 at your earliest convenience. Customers with active maintenance contracts for this product will not be charged for this upgrade.
