Important information regarding URL downloads for clients using eIDS 1.5 SP 1 and 2.0 SP 1



After installing the Service Pack 1 for Intrusion Detection 1.5 or 2.0 you will notice that the address for the URL Control List automatic subscription update changed. The old download address for the URL's was 'https://eidmaint.ca.com/urlsub/swupdurl.exe'. Now the link shows 'https://eidmaint.ca.com/urlsub/sfv3/sfcontrol.current'. The SP 1 versions of eIDS have an updated URL function that lists additional categories as well as an increased number of sites found in the URL list. Therefore the list has to be downloaded from a different location. These list are not interchangeable with earlier version of eIDS. You can still manually download the latest URL list by going to the 'https://eidmaint.ca.com/' site.
