Important licensing information when upgrading from eIDS 1.5 to 1.5 SP 1, and eIDS 2.0 to 2.0 SP 1

Upgrading 1.5 GA to 1.5 SP1:

• If installing the SP on top of the existing GA installation - the existing license will keep functioning, no need to re-register.

• If uninstalling the 1.5 GA and installing the SP on the same machine with same hardware configuration, and without rebuilding the machine - existing license will keep functioning, no need to re-register.

• If the machine's OS is rebuilt using the same hardware, all that should be done is backing up the C:\CA_LIC\ca.olf file and returning it back to the same place on the new fresh installation.

• If the 1.5 SP1 is installed on a different machine or on the same machine with hardware changes - It is necessary to re register at the license desk using the License IT application for Enterprise Edition (the existing ca.olf will not work). If it is Workgroup Edition, the customer will need to rerun the code he previously received through the RegisterIT application.

Upgrading 2.0 GA to 2.0 SP1:

• If installing the SP on top of the existing GA installation - the existing license will keep functioning, no need to re-register.

• If uninstalling the 2.0 GA and installing the SP on the same machine without rebuilding the machine - existing license will keep functioning, no need to re-register.

• If the machine's OS is rebuilt using the same hardware, all that should be done is backing up the C:\CA_LIC\ca.olf file and returning it back to the same place on the new fresh installation.
