Service Pack 3 Announcement
On behalf of the CA team, we appreciate your business and the opportunity to provide high-quality, innovative software and services. As part of our ongoing commitment to customer success, we regularly announce updated releases and maintenance for our products.

We are pleased to announce the availability of Unicenter CA-XCOM Data Transport, r3.1 Service Pack 3 for the following platforms: HP-UX, AIX, AIX Brixton, Sun Solaris, Sun Solaris X86, SCO Open Server, SCO UnixWare, Digital UNIX, NCR UNIX MP-RAS, Linux PC, and Linux s/390 zSeries.

These service packs include all maintenance published prior to this update. By installing these service packs, you ensure that your systems are current on maintenance for r3.1.

Unicenter CA-XCOM Data Transport r11 for HP-UX, AIX, and Sun Solaris Service Pack 1 will be GA within weeks. Additionally, Unicenter CA-XCOM Data Transport r11 Service Pack 1 for the following platforms: AIX Brixton, Sun Solaris X86, SCO OpenServer, SCO UnixWare, Digital UNIX, NCR UNIX MP-RAS, Linux PC, and Linux s/390 zSeries, will follow shortly thereafter.

Unicenter® CA-XCOM™ Data Transport® r3.1 for z/VSE Beta Program
Unicenter CA-XCOM Data Transport r3.1 for z/VSE powers high-speed, unattended file transfers between any two nodes on a network with complete audit trails and reporting capabilities.

With the ever increasing standardization of the TCP/IP network protocol, Unicenter CA-XCOM Data Transport r3.1 for z/VSE is now a multi-protocol data transport solution providing the benefit of choice between TCP/IP and SNA protocols.

This release also includes new compression methods such as ZLIBn and LZRW3 to improve network performance.

System Requirements for the Unicenter CA-XCOM Data Transport r3.1 for z/VSE Beta Program:
  • z/VSE 3.1.1
  • VTAM 4.2.0
  • TCP/IP 1.5E (for TCP/IP transfers)
