  • Provide support to enable BrightStor CA-Dynam/T to mount VTAPE volumes automatically by issuing the appropriate VTAPE START and STOP commands. This enhancement takes advantage of a new interface introduced by IBM in z/VSE 3.1.

Tips and Tricks
Combining Several Reports Into One POWER List Queue Entry
Using Unicenter® CA-Raps® for VSE, you can easily combine multiple reports into a single POWER list queue entry. Unicenter CA-Raps provides RCAPRUTL0, a powerful report distribution facility that can be used to scan, split, regroup, and merge POWER LST files.

If you are using AUTOLPR to send reports to a TCP/IP connected printer, you may find that the wait time between printing reports is excessive. By first using CAPRUTL0 to combine listings destined for the same printer, you will be able to avoid these waits.

Problem Detection in CICS Using the XMON Feature of Unicenter® CA-Explore®
The XMONITOR (or XMON) command can be used to display a quick overview of all CICS partitions running Unicenter CA-Explore Performance Management for CICS. This panel provides a single point from which problems in a number of CICS partitions can be identified quickly.

We ran a batch DYNCAT INT to reinitialize the tapes, but the CADT092W message is still issued. Is there a way to reuse these tapes?
