Unicenter® Beta Programs
Unicenter® Advanced System Management r11.1 Beta Program
CA is pleased to invite you to participate in the Unicenter Advanced System management r11.1 beta program. Unicenter Advanced System Management r11.1 is the first solution that creates a centralized mechanism for the management and dynamic resource brokering of complex data center environments such as clusters and virtualized platforms. It optimizes an organization's IT investments by continuously assessing and self-managing system resources and services, addressing the problems of under- and over-utilization. Built with advanced functionality, Unicenter ASM automatically detects and diagnoses events and reallocates resources to prevent outages and optimize resource utilization.

The following topics are covered in this beta program:

  • Advanced Platform Discovery - Discovers and monitors every aspect of the virtual host and sessions.
  • Real-time Monitoring and Representation - Represents host server and VM instances as they exist in a real-world environment.
  • Dynamic Resource Allocation - Analyzes resources in real-time while continuously balancing system utilization.
  • VM Cloning - Moves VMs between local and remote host machines.
  • Policy Driven Session Migration - Migrates less critical VMs automatically based on business policies and priorities.
  • Advanced Platform Discovery - Discovers cluster platforms and technologies otherwise concealed from traditional enterprise systems management solutions.
  • Selective Monitoring - Provides automated real-time status/health monitoring of software, nodes and package resource groups as well as individual resources.
  • Desired States - Defines the "desired state" for all monitored elements, enabling alterable statuses to be configured at the object level.
  • Rule-Based Resource Management - Creates rules, based on definable resource groups which can define the failover time and day, or when to move a process from one resource to another.

To register for this beta program, select the CA Beta Programs image from the SupportConnectSM website.
