Unicenter® Database Management r11.2 Beta
Dear CA Database Management Customer,

We are pleased to announce:

Unicenter Database Management r11.2 beta software is available.

For information on how to obtain the Unicenter Database Management (UDM) r11.2 beta software, you need to first register to participate and be accepted into the BETA program. You can do so after signing into SupportConnectSM and then selecting this link to apply:

Unicenter Database Management r11.2 is a browser-based multi-database management solution that unifies and simplifies the management of different Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS). A consistent look and feel helps Database Administrators (DBAs) manage different databases with increased productivity, and helps reduce RDBMS complexity and management costs.

Some of the exciting new capabilities this beta release includes:

  • Microsoft SQL Server 2005 support
  • Expanded multi-database administration support
  • Expanded remote and agent-based database monitoring and performance management capabilities
  • Expanded database unloading support for export or to load to other databases
  • Expanded database online/offline restructuring and optimization
Built on the CA EITM Integration Platform, UDM r11.2 includes CA's Management Database (MDB) and supports an MDB on Ingres, Oracle, or Microsoft SQL Server database platforms. Also provided in this release is additional integration for customers with Unicenter® Network and Systems Management for comprehensive enterprise-wide infrastructure management coverage.

DB2 Tools P01 - Drop Support Reminder
The termination of support for the individual product releases that comprise the Unicenter® Database Management Solutions P01 for DB2 UDB for z/OS release happened as of October 1, 2006. Click here to read the full drop support letter information. Upgrade options include r11 SP3 and the r11.5 release which contains the most recent DB2 V8 exploitation. FAQs for AllFusion® Modeling Solutions
Using the 'Alter Script/Schema Generation', if a column is added, it creates the DDL. However, if the same column is then deleted in the same session, the Alter Script/Schema Generation does not generate the ALTER TABLE DROP COLUMN statement. Why?

AllFusion® CA-File Master™ Plus for IMS Beta Announcement

AllFusion CA-File Master Plus for IMS is a robust z/OS data management product that provides enhanced capabilities for IBM's IMS Database Management System in both an online ISPF interface and through batch commands. AllFusion CA-File Master Plus for IMS provides a set of powerful and easy-to-use tools for manipulating IMS databases, including segment selection filtering as well as data display and modification using COBOL or PL/I layouts.

AllFusion® CA-InterTest® Batch r8 Beta Announcement: Helping You Meet the Challenges of Debugging DB2 Stored Procedures and IMS/DC Programs
Debugging DB2 stored procedures and IMS/DC programs can be a challenge, which is why you need automated tools like AllFusion CA-InterTest Batch, part of the AllFusion® Mainframe Testing and Fault Management Tools product line.

We are pleased to announce that AllFusion CA-InterTest Batch r8 is now in Beta and available for testing. While previous versions of AllFusion CA-InterTest Batch already support the debugging of DB2 stored procedures and IMS/DC programs, the r8 release adds more sophisticated capabilities including:
  • debugging nested DB2 stored procedures
  • scheduling for IMS/DC programs and DB2 stored procedures
