CA Simplifies Product Names
Beginning January 30, 2007, CA is simplifying its product names. Our intention is to describe our products by what they enable you and your business to accomplish. Some names have already changed; others will change over the next 12-18 months as part of the planned development cycle. There is nothing you need to do. We have established a dedicated site at ca.com/productnames as a resource center where you'll find additional information such as frequently asked questions, customer service numbers, and a list of current product names and former names.

CA Sofware Change Manager Interface for DB2 for z/OS
(Formerly Known as Endevor® Option for DB2)

If you are a customer of the Endevor option for DB2, then this is the news you have been waiting for. A new release of this option is currently undergoing the final stages of development and will be entering beta testing soon.

This new release marks a significant change from earlier releases - by using the DB2 object management engine of CA's RC/Migrator® and RC/Compare™ products. This will mean that future development efforts in support of new versions of DB2 can be concentrated in one area.

The most important change for you, the customer, is that the latest Endevor option for DB2, now known as CA Software Change Manager Interface for DB2 for z/OS will support ALL IBM supported versions of DB2 for z/OS as of December 2006. If you are interested in knowing more about this exciting new development, please contact me directly (phil.grainger@ca.com) or if you have an interest in possibly joining the beta program then please drop a line to Mohan Kumar (mohan.kumar@ca.com) or visit: supportconnectw.ca.com/public/beta/scmidb27/scmidb27beta.asp.
