CA Simplifies Product Names
Beginning January 30, 2007, CA is simplifying its product names. Our intention is to describe our products by what they enable you and your business to accomplish. Some names have already changed; others will change over the next 12-18 months as part of the planned development cycle. There is nothing you need to do. We have established a dedicated site at ca.com/productnames as a resource center where you'll find additional information such as frequently asked questions, customer service numbers, and a list of current product names and former names.

AllFusion® Endevor® Change Manager Option for DB2 UDB for z/OS

Information Regarding New Release
If you are a customer of the Endevor® option for DB2, then this is the news you have been waiting for. A new release of this option is currently undergoing the final stages of development and will be entering beta testing soon.

This new release marks a significant change from earlier releases - by using the DB2 object management engine of CA's RC/Migrator® and RC/Compare™ products. This will mean that future development efforts in support of new versions of DB2 can be concentrated in one area.

The most important change for you, the customer, is that the latest Endevor option for DB2 will support ALL IBM supported versions of DB2 for z/OS as of December 2006.

If you are interested in knowing more about this exciting new development, please contact me directly (phil.grainger@ca.com) or, if you have an interest in possibly joining the beta program, then please drop a line to Mohan Kumar (mohan.kumar@ca.com).

FAQs for AllFusion® Modeling Solutions
I am getting a bad referenced memory error when I try to open a new or existing AllFusion® ERwin® Data Modeler model and I have renamed the AllFusion ERwin Data Modeler *.ini file (v 4.1.4 only), so what else can I do?
supportconnect.ca.com/sc/redir.jsp?reqPage=search&searchID=TEC419668

v. 4.1.4 allowed me to do either a logical or a physical transform and keep the other side intact. In R7, when I perform a physical transform, my logical side transforms as well. How do I know which side did the transform (logical or physical)?
supportconnect.ca.com/sc/redir.jsp?reqPage=search&searchID=TEC420028

In a logical-physical model, I change my physical domain name but the name change does not flow over to the physical column names. How can I change my column names by changing my physical domain names?
supportconnect.ca.com/sc/redir.jsp?reqPage=search&searchID=TEC421839

I have an exceptions table for an Oracle constraint created in the model, but the generated DDL does not show it. What do I have to do?
supportconnect.ca.com/sc/redir.jsp?reqPage=search&searchID=TEC421842

How can I rename a model that already exists in an AllFusion® Model Manager Library?
supportconnect.ca.com/sc/redir.jsp?reqPage=search&searchID=TEC415505

Can I save my model offline as a *.er1, make changes, and then save that back to AllFusion Model Manager as an incremental save? Will that create a new version?
supportconnect.ca.com/sc/redir.jsp?reqPage=search&searchID=TEC416637

When I delete a model from the AllFusion Model Manager repository, does the model only get deleted from the Library I am in, or globally in the Mart, wherever the model name is found?
supportconnect.ca.com/sc/redir.jsp?reqPage=search&searchID=TEC418232

I am attempting to update AllFusion Model Manager with a new license. I did update my 'ca.olf' file with the new license in the 'CA_LIC' directory. However, when I attempt to connect to the mart, I still receive a message that the license is expired.
supportconnect.ca.com/sc/redir.jsp?reqPage=search&searchID=TEC415513

What is saved back to the ModelMart database when saving a new version of a model? Is it the entire model or just the changes made since the last save?
