Unicenter® CA-SYSVIEW® r11.5 is Generally Available (GA)
Unicenter CA-SYSVIEW r11.5 became GA March 31, 2006. The enhancements and changes for this new release are:

  • Integration with the IBM Health Checker
  • Support for z/OS 1.7, Transaction Server 3.1, and Websphere MQ version 6
  • Private storage data collection
  • Enhanced IMS Option displays
  • Security administration facilitated by Command Groups
  • Enhanced System Overview Component to include support for IFA processors
  • Improved log stream processing
  • SMF record compression
  • Websphere MQ Option - historical monitoring of queue usage by application
  • Support for sending text-only emails

To receive Unicenter CA-SYSVIEW r11.5, please return the order form that you received in the mail, order from the product page at SupportConnectSM, or call 1-800-637-5858. For customers outside of North America, please contact your local Technical Support group.

Also note the following End-of-Support dates. We strongly urge you to take advantage of the new Unicenter CA-SYSVIEW r11.5 features by upgrading at your earliest convenience.

  • r11 – Support ends March 31, 2007.
  • r7.7 – Support ended November 30, 2005.

Product Tip
Do you know that in Unicenter® CA-SYSVIEW® r11.5, a new command was added? The GRAPH command displays information that has been collected by one of the Unicenter
CA-SYSVIEW data collectors. The information is presented in a bar graph format. The same information can also be viewed using the PLOT command.

RSU Information
We have recently completed certification of Unicenter® CA-SYSVIEW® with both z/OS 1.6 and z/OS 1.7 December RSU Level (0512). The z/OS 1.6 certification was achieved with SYSVIEW r11 SP02 while the z/OS 1.7 certification was achieved with SYSVIEW r11 SP02 plus ZSB0119 and ZSB0126.

opsXchange 2006
opsXchange 2006, a technical training seminar for Automation, Network, and Real-time system performance enthusiasts, will be held September 13-15, 2006, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This seminar will be of interest to any customers who have/use:
