Installation/Upgrade
---------------------------------------------

- You might want to run the PRMORPH job from
SAMP JCL the weekend before upgrading to
ensure there is no data corruption.

- Make sure that when you run your binds from
the Installation panel (option 10 Plans) you
fill in the Catalog Owner. Specify SYSIBM
or the creator of a shadow catalog.

- If you have two different Repositories (e.g.
Test and Prod) they should have different
NEWAPPLs. The default NEWAPPL is DBEX. This
should be changed in three clists:

       DBEXCEL, DBXINST, and COMPSTAT

---------------------------------------------
Data Shopper
---------------------------------------------

If inserts, deletes, or updates are made in the
SHOPCNTL model and the corresponding changes do
not display in Data Shopper, the 3 services
required by Data Shopper should be stopped and
restarted in the following order. To locate the
services from the Windows desktop, click:

   START/SETTINGS/CONTROL PANEL/SERVICES

If Data Shopper is installed on a UNIX platform,
kill the processes and then restart them in the
following order:

   STOP IN THE FOLLOWING ORDER
      - DataShopper_Server
      - DataShopper_Gatekeeper
      - DataShopper_ORBAgent

   START IN THE FOLLOWING ORDER
      - DataShopper_ORBAgent
      - DataShopper_Gatekeeper
      - DataShopper_Server

Once services have been stopped and restarted,
launch Data Shopper to display the recent changes
made to the SHOPCNTL model.

Support Page
---------------------------------------------

There is a new article on the Support Page
describing how PRMORPH works. The document can
be found under the Technical Document Index.
PRMORPH has been updated to improve performance.
The document only applies to those users who
apply APAR LO88582.

---------------------------------------------
UPGRAD Solution LI75172

support to see if the Repository supports that
release? You can get this information first hand
by downloading APAR LI75172 from StarTCC. The
APAR is updated each time a new operating system
or DB2 release is tested.

----------------------------------------------
