General Information
Implementing CA NetMaster® Network Management for TCP/IP With Ease
No time to read guides cover-to-cover? Need a quick-start guide to implement CA NetMaster Network Management for TCP/IP?

We realize that CA NetMaster Network Management for TCP/IP offers much more than the average organization uses. The newly-released Implementation Guide is designed for new users and experienced network administrators, to help you implement basic functionality and get your system up-and-running quickly after installation.

The guide is written in the same task-oriented style that has proven so helpful in the Installation Guide. If you complete the tasks in the order in which they appear, you can implement the basic functions very quickly. In response to requests from you, our customers, the guide also includes examples to help you.

This guide is provided as part of the CA NetMaster Network Management for TCP/IP r11.6 library. You can download it from the Download Center at Technical Support at ca.com/support.

As always, if you have any comments or suggestions on this guide, we would love to hear from you.

The Rebranding of NetMaster® Products
We are in the process of removing the Unicenter® brand name from the NetMaster suite of products. During this process, you may find discrepancies in the product dropdowns on the Support Online website. When searching for products in the Download Center, you will find that most products have the Unicenter brand name replaced by CA, for example,
CA NetMaster® or CA Netspy™.

For more information on our rebranding effort, please read the article.

NetMaster®, Faster - CA NetMaster® Network Management at CA World®
You could read every manual. You could spend hours working through every screen, hoping to divine that right combination of keystrokes that optimizes proactive network management. You could...but you shouldn't. Here's a chance to jumpstart your learning with the Mainframe Network Management track at CA World.

And what better way to do this than to begin with "Use CA NetMaster Network Management Just Like Grant." Grant Gibson really knows how to get the most out of NetMaster; learn how he does it from the master himself. An important capability is SmartTrace; we are offering a session "SmartTrace is Just Plain Smart" and a lab "SmartTrace just got even cooler."

Enterprise Extender support is important to many of you, so we have a session and a lab for this new capability, available in December: "Got EE? CA NetMaster Network Management Can Help" and "Working with NetMaster and Enterprise Extender."

This is just a taste of what we have to offer. We also have customer speakers and more. Check out ca.com/caworld and learn how you can "get NetMaster faster."

In between sessions, get some additional training at the Campground and visit us at the Exhibition Center to talk to us further. Remember - what happens in Vegas doesn't have to stay in Vegas - take your network management to the next level!

Camp Out With NetMaster® at CA World®
"Bugs" are everywhere; you wouldn't consider camping without a net. At CA World, that "net" is CA NetMaster® Network Management and we are saving a spot in our tent for you as we camp out in Las Vegas the week of November 16, 2008. And what does your week in the wilds look like?

First, our campsite will be very special this time. We have laid out some of our best technical experts in the Campground, not just to answer questions but to provide real training. Learn to untie the knots your network gets into, put out fires... all the basic camping needs. Expert demonstrations will be provided in the Exhibition Center. And do we have campfire stories for you! Each day, we have planned sessions and labs to tell you the story behind successful and proactive network management. Bring your hiking boots, marshmallows and a big pad of paper; come camp with the CA NetMaster team this year at CA World.
