General Information
NetMaster™ WebCenter
Unicenter® NetMaster™ Network Management for TCP/IP (Unicenter NetMaster NM for TCP/IP) provides a web-based user interface called NetMaster WebCenter for many of its key functions.

WebCenter complements Unicenter NetMaster NM for TCP/IP 3270 displays by presenting a familiar and consistent interface for network operators without experience using mainframe 3270 applications; people who prefer the "point and click" convenience of a web UI; and differently-abled users who find web interfaces easier to access.

For more information, see NetMaster WebCenter.

How to Handle High CPU in a NetMaster™ Region
This article looks at analyzing a NetMaster region when it has high CPU consumption. A NetMaster region is an address space running any Unicenter® NetMaster™ or Unicenter® SOLVE product.

Sometimes, these products may start to consume an inordinate amount of CPU resources. This usage may be transient or continuous.

Unicenter NetMaster regions have some facilities that can help customers and support personnel to diagnose the cause of high resource consumption.

For more information, see How to Handle High CPU in a NetMaster Region.

opsXchange 2006
The opsXchange 2006 Technical Training Seminar completed its sixth successful year. Those in attendance indicated that this year's conference continued to surpass previous years' conferences and that, dollar for dollar, it is still one of the best values in technical training available today for automation. Once again, four concurrent sessions were run daily that offered more than 40 technical sessions over the two-and-a-half-day time frame.

There were sessions to satisfy everyone from automation novices to seasoned veterans and the planning team saw to it that the needs of everyone were met. In addition to the sessions on existing features and functions, there were sessions on product futures. Also, back by popular demand, we offered hands-on labs where attendees had the opportunity to "kick the tires" and experience some valuable time at the wheel of their favorite CA automation and performance products. This year, we introduced the Unicenter NetMaster Network Management sessions and the valuable product integration with the CA automation and performance product suite.

The initial stages of planning for next year's event have already begun and we look forward to a bigger and better opsXchange Technical Training Seminar in 2007. Shortly, a link will be posted on the ProTech website (protechpts.com/) announcing opsXchange 2007. Session materials from this year's seminar will be available shortly. We anticipate even more member sessions for next year's event including sessions on the NetMaster product suite. See you there!
