General Information
IP Connection Lists
IP connection lists let you display filtered lists of IP connections between remote (foreign) hosts and one or more IP stacks or servers. The lists let you diagnose or monitor specific connections using simple actions. The actions and presentation formats available depend on which of the following products you are using:
  • Unicenter® NetMaster™ Network Management for TCP/IP (Unicenter NetMaster NM for TCP/IP) provides a full range of diagnostic and monitoring actions. The lists may be presented using the 3270 interface or WebCenter.
  • Unicenter® NetSpy® Network Performance includes the monitoring subset of actions and presentation is limited to the 3270 interface.
For more information, see IP Connection Lists.

Alert Monitor Actions
The Alert Monitor is a central alerting point for Unicenter® NetMaster™ NM for TCP/IP and other Unicenter® NetMaster™ products. If you are monitoring TCP/IP resources with the IP Resource Monitor, you can enhance the monitoring provided by generating alerts whenever a problem is detected. In addition to alert generation, alert details can also be forwarded to a variety of destinations, such as email recipients, or Unicenter® Service Desk.

This month's E-News discusses the process for generating alerts from IP resources. It also covers the additional actions that are available to forward alert detail to other destinations.

For more information, see Alert Monitor Actions.
