Announcing SmartTrace - Available in Unicenter® NetMaster® Network Management for TCP/IP r11.5
Unicenter NetMaster Network Management for TCP/IP r11.5 is currently under development with General Availability planned for Q42006. The highlight of r11.5 is SmartTrace, a sophisticated, new TCP/IP packet tracing application that delivers unprecedented levels of functionality in an easy-to-use package. SmartTrace promises to be the most advanced TCP/IP packet tracing tool ever seen on mainframe systems.

SmartTrace brings TCP/IP packet tracing into the mainstream, making it a viable tool for troubleshooting practically any mainframe network connectivity problem. Packet traces can be initiated and viewed in real time without any setup or prior expertise of mainframe packet tracing. More complex traces can be defined through an easy-to-use full-screen interface. In addition, SmartTrace is completely integrated with existing Unicenter NetMaster facilities.

For a detailed overview of SmartTrace functionality, click here.

Also, watch for next month's E-News for an overview of additional network management enhancements to be delivered in r11.5.
