General Information
SQL Server Gateway Autocommit Behavior and Possible Session Hang
Because of different AUTOCOMMIT settings, the SQL Server gateway behavior is different than the SQL Server's native tools. The AUTOCOMMIT OFF setting of the SQL Server gateway may cause another SQL Server or gateway session to hang. This article provides background information about this problem and various workarounds.

II_DECIMAL with Advantage™ Enterprise Access r2.1
II_DECIMAL is not supported in Advantage Enterprise Access r2.1. The lack of II_DECIMAL support does not preclude locale aware applications being written and deployed against the gateway provided certain rules are observed. This article reviews II_DECIMAL behavior and describes how Advantage™ OpenROAD® is used successfully by customers with numbers that use a comma "," to denote the fractional part of a numeric.
