Advantage™ Ingres® Enterprise Relational Database and Advantage™ OpenROAD® Development SDK Release 2.0 Update
A recent problem was encountered with the latest version of the Advantage Ingres Enterprise Relational Database (Advantage Ingres) and Advantage OpenROAD Development (Advantage OpenROAD) SDK. The result is a blank screen when the Software Engineer workspace is accessed. No other aspect of the SDK is affected.

A temporary solution has been created that will allow the existing Advantage Ingres and Advantage OpenROAD SDK 2.0 to be corrected. A fix has been posted at: ftp.ca.com/pub/ingres/int_w32/OpenROAD/41_sdk/or41sdk/.

A corrected version of the SDK will be re-issued in the near future. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.

Advantage™ Ingres® Enterprise Relational Database 2.6 Service Pack 2
is Now Available
The Advantage Ingres Development team is pleased to announce the availability of Service Pack 2 for Advantage Ingres 2.6. Please refer to the platform-specific readme.html file for a complete list of fixes for your particular platform that has been included in this service pack.

What does the statement "set session authorization <username>" do?
This statement allows a privileged user (a user with Security Administrator privileges set) to take on another Ingres® user ID (and therefore that user's permits) for that session or until it is changed to another user ID. This is equivalent to using the "-u" flag on each command.

Java Query Viewer Demo Pack
The Ingres® JDBC Driver was introduced as part of the Ingres II 2.5 release as a pure Java implementation of the JDBC 1.2 Interface. Advantage™ Ingres® 2.6 introduced a new JDBC driver. This is a pure Java implementation of the JDBC 2.1 Interface. The Advantage™ EDBC® 1.1 Client also introduced a pure Java implementation of the JDBC 2.1 Interface. All versions of the Ingres and Advantage EDBC JDBC drivers support access to the same data sources.
