Advantage™ OpenROAD® Application Startup Performance Considerations
Advantage OpenROAD applications can be complex and frequently require other included applications to run. As applications and their included applications become larger and more complex, it may take longer and longer for the initial frame to be retrieved from the applications' image files and displayed. Eventually, this time lag between starting the application and viewing its initial frame may be considered a performance problem.

This document describes the runtime system processes that occur when an Advantage OpenROAD image file is run. Understanding these processes may provide insight into performance-related problems associated with starting Advantage OpenROAD applications and how to solve them.
