If you are still using eSupport, we encourage you to move to SupportConnect^SM by December 6, 2004. SupportConnect offers easy access to the latest product support information and software updates on the web-through access to online knowledge bases and forums, software downloads, issue management options, and other self-service features. Check out a summary of the latest SupportConnect upgrades.

If you have an enterprise eSupport user account, you can convert it to SupportConnect by using the conversion link at the bottom of the SupportConnect home page.

eSupport users with Basic accounts should fill out the New User enrollment form using the link in the SupportConnect login box. You will be emailed an activation link in a matter of minutes.

CA Signs Agreement to Acquire Netegrity
CA signed a definitive agreement to acquire Netegrity. We expect the capabilities of the combined organizations to enable us to offer the best of breed suite for identity and access management solutions to the market. The acquisition is subject to customary regulatory approvals and the approval of Netegrity's shareholders, and is expected to be completed in the next 90 days.

CA Launches All New Versions of Our Consumer eTrust™ Products

eTrust™ EZ Antivirus r7 - includes an improved user interface, a file quarantine as well as an advanced help system with comprehensive alerts.
eTrust™ EZ Firewall r5.1 - incorporates a new automatic program control component that provides real-time advice as to which programs you should allow to access the internet.
eTrust™ EZ Armor r3 - consists of an all new Integrated User Interface, the automatic program control that is incorporated into the firewall, Instant Messaging Security as well as Parental Controls for filtering inappropriate websites.
eTrust™ PestPatrol® Anti-Spyware r5 - features improved ease-of-use and industrial-strength protection from a wide range of spyware threats.

eTrust™ Directory - Partnerships
At DigitalID World last month, CA and Radiant Logic demonstrated the powerful combination of the RadiantOne Virtual Directory and Synchronization Services with CA's eTrust Directory. The integrated solution lets eTrust Directory customers leverage their existing identity sources more easily and adapt to changing business requirements through identity virtualization. RadiantOne has received the ca smart™ Seal of Excellence, which is awarded to products that integrate seamlessly with CA solutions, letting customers take advantage of best-in-class enterprise technologies while minimizing cost, time-to-benefit, and risk. The current version of eTrust Directory is r8 SP1. This version can be downloaded from SupportConnect^SM and can seamlessly upgrade any previous version of eTrust Directory including 3.x and 4.x.

Announcing eTrust™ Antivirus for Windows XP Embedded (SDK)
eTrust™ has recently partnered with Microsoft in producing the industry's first and only antivirus solution designed for the growing Windows XP Embedded market which targets various types of device manufacturers who specialize in ATMs, Internet Kiosks, Medical Systems, Thin Client Workstations, Point of Sale systems, Digital Video Recorders, and many more. This solution is available by a select group of eTrust partners who specialize in Microsoft Windows XP Embedded solutions through CA's OEM group.

CA First to Provide Virus and Spyware Protection for the Network Admission Control (NAC) Program
CA is excited to announce its inclusion within the Cisco Network Admission Control (NAC) program and has integrated its industry-leading eTrust™ PestPatrol® Anti-Spyware and eTrust™ Antivirus solutions with the Cisco Trust Agent. As part of NAC, CA's eTrust™ solutions further safeguard enterprise environments by ensuring that only systems in compliance with corporate security policies can connect to the network. This prevents individual non-compliant systems from compromising other critical computing assets and limits the damage from viruses, worms, Trojans, and spyware.
