At Computer Associates International, Inc. (CA), we are constantly striving to improve our software and services to best meet your needs. As we work to develop superior functionality and embrace advanced technology, it is sometimes necessary to discontinue support on some of our older product releases in order to focus development efforts on new releases. Therefore, effective April 30, 2005, CA is discontinuing support for eTrust™ Policy Compliance 7.2.

As a valued customer, CA would like to offer you a free upgrade to the latest eTrust Policy Compliance release - provided that you have a valid and current active maintenance contract.

eTrust™ Policy Compliance v7.4.1 is now generally available (GA). eTrust Policy Compliance v7.4.1 includes significant enhancements, specifically in the area of security vulnerability (CAID) coverage. eTrust™ Vulnerability Manager r8. eTrust™ InoculateIT® 6.0 and eTrust™ Antivirus v7
We are pleased to announce the release of our cumulative fixes for eTrust InoculateIT 6.0 (QO54194) and eTrust Antivirus v7 (QO54195). These cumulative fixes include all published fixes up to and including the cutoff date specified and are applicable to all language environments.

The cumulative fix allows you to patch your system in a single step, as opposed to individually applying each published fix. The automated install for these fixes contain modules that are common to all environments. Certain fixes are only applicable to specific environments and have been included in the .CAZ file. However, they will not be applied as part of the automatic install; they must be applied manually (instructions are provided in the readme.txt).

We have also introduced a new version scheme to keep track of a system's patch level. For eTrust InoculateIT 6.0 and eTrust Antivirus v7, the version will have the following format: 6.0.0401. The first two numbers (6.0 for eTrust InoculateIT 6.0 and 7.0 for eTrust Antivirus v7) indicate the version of the product while the last four indicate the year and month when the fix was released.

To check the version number of your product, right-click on the Realmon icon in the system tray and select "About."

eTrust™ Secure Content Manager
eTrust Secure Content Manager SP1 (Fix QO54596) has been published to SupportConnect^SM. For more information, please visit supportconnectw.ca.com/public/etrust/etrust_scm/etrust-scm_supp.asp. eTrust Secure Content Manager Release 1.0 SP1 includes some enhancements and it is also a cumulative fix. We strongly recommended that all eTrust Secure Content Manager Release 1.0 installations apply this service pack.

Security Leadership Council Event
June 29-30, 2004
IP Events will hold an innovative, two-day online Security Leadership Council, which brings together the leading minds in critical infrastructure and homeland and IT security to explore key industry issues and trends. This live, non-commercial, content-driven program, which takes place alongside a virtual tradeshow, will be held June 29-30, 2004. It is designed for professionals in IT security, homeland security, and transportation security, and features keynote presentations from thought leaders in government and the private sector.
