Beta Program Updates
We are now inviting our customers to participate in the beta programs listed below so that you can validate CA's solutions in your own environments. In addition, we are seeking your feedback on the product enhancements, quality, and the beta programs themselves.

Your contribution to the beta programs is directly related to the success of the GA releases of eTrust™ products. In addition, it helps ensure CA delivers solutions that are ready to meet your real-world requirements.

As a participant in the beta programs, you will directly communicate with the eTrust Research and Development team to investigate and address any reported problems, questions, or comments. For more details, please visit ca.com/betas.
  • eTrust™ CA-ACF2® Security Option for DB2 Release 1.2 Beta Program is looking for candidates. For more information, please visit:

  • eTrust™ Admin Option for PeopleSoft Feed v2. eTrust Admin Option for PeopleSoft Feed allows you to synchronize PeopleSoft users with eTrust Admin global users. Through role-based administration, you can automatically manage the PeopleSoft accounts required in today's complex environments. In addition, this option automatically:
    • Creates, modifies, or deletes global users and associated accounts
      (if role-based administration is used)
    • Generates batch report requests
    eTrust Admin Option for PeopleSoft Feed v2 builds on a tradition of excellence for automating user account administration. This release takes that automation to the next level, providing seamless integration with PeopleSoft HR. eTrust Admin Option for PeopleSoft Feed v2 now instantly updates user accounts on any system or application as soon as an entry is made to PeopleSoft HR. In addition, it includes new tools for easily setting up the option. For example, a new configuration wizard allows administrators to easily map data fields in the PeopleSoft HR database with their corresponding attributes on the global users in eTrust Admin, and business transformation logic is used to identify users' roles without any need to write code. Announcing eTrust™ LDAP Server for z/OS and OS/390 Release 3.0 - Now Available
eTrust LDAP Server for z/OS and OS/390 is a component of eTrust™ CA-ACF2® Security for z/OS and OS/390 and eTrust™ CA-Top Secret® Security for z/OS and OS/390. eTrust LDAP Server provides a full-function Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP)-compliant directory server, free of charge, to all customers who are currently on maintenance.

eTrust LDAP Server Release 3.0 offers an easier installation process, changes in the bind process and secure sockets layer (SSL) support. In addition, it includes enhancements to eTrust CA-ACF2 Security for z/OS and OS/390 and eTrust CA-Top Secret Security for z/OS and OS/390 back-end processing, as well as performance improvements.

  • Microsoft Reveals Internal Security Techniques. A recent Microsoft webcast revealed that the company uses CA's eTrust™ Security Management suite to secure its networks. This article, which includes a link to the webcast, explains how it uses
    two-factor authentication (user name/password and smart card) to better secure its intellectual property.


  • Olympic Net Gets Gold Security Protection. Security organizations around the world are trying to address security information overload so they can proactively manage their security environments. CA's eTrust™ Security Command Center is an effective tool for solving this problem. One company that is putting all the capabilities of eTrust Security Command Center to use is SchlumberSema, which is using the product to manage IT security for the 2004 Olympics in Athens.
