  • CA - Windows 2000 Post SP4 EN 32Bit x86 - FULL Security Rollup v0609.01
  • CA - Windows 2000 Post SP4 FR 32Bit x86 - FULL Security Rollup v0609.01

  • CA - Windows 2000 Post SP4 JA 32Bit x86 - FULL Security Rollup v0609.01

Microsoft released the patch for a vulnerability in the Windows Kernel which could result in elevation of privilege. This affects Windows 2000 Server installation only.

For more information, please refer to the Unicenter Patch Management Information Center.

IMPORTANT POLICY INFORMATION:

For those customers who have already accepted and utilized the previously released version (v0609.00) of any of the above-referenced UPM patches in a UPM policy:

To ensure that the managed machines receive the re-released patch, the suggested approach is to include UPM patch Windows2000-KB920958-v2-x86 to the existing UPM policy.

For those customers who have not yet accepted the previous version (v0609.00) of any of the above-referenced patches:

Be advised that you will no longer be able to accept the previous version (v0609.00). UPM will generate a download error because Microsoft has pulled the original version of patch Windows2000-KB920958-x86.exe from their download site.

Instead, please accept and utilize the updated version (v0609.01) of the above-referenced patches. No additional action will be required, as the original Microsoft patch has been replaced by the re-released Microsoft patch within the patch content by the CA Content Team.
