Unicenter® Desktop and Server Management r11.1a (Unicenter® Asset Management, Unicenter® Software Delivery, and Unicenter® Remote Control)
CA is pleased to announce the electronic availability of the Unicenter Desktop and Server Management r11.1a (listed for electronic download as r11.1 0606), the latest release for automating desktop and server management. CA's Desktop and Server Management solutions provide in-depth insight into asset configurations and automate critical operational processes like discovery and inventory, deployment, maintenance, and migration. By instilling operation and compliance controls, this comprehensive solution helps you standardize your IT environment, enhance decision-making, mitigate risk, and implement industry standard processes necessary to provide and demonstrate value to the business.

Unicenter Desktop and Server Management r11.1a delivers compatibility with the MS SQL database server as the CA Management Database (MDB). In addition to MS SQL 2000 and 2005 support, Unicenter Desktop and Server Management r11.1a also includes bug fixes and performance improvements.

CA is pleased to announce the general availability of Unicenter Patch Management r11.1.

Unicenter Patch Management builds upon the proven management foundations of Unicenter® Asset Management r11, Unicenter® Software Delivery r11, and the CA Desktop Management Suite r11 to provide a comprehensive solution for proactively managing the entire patch lifecycle. This includes monitoring and discovery of available patches, patch research, patch packaging, package testing, deployment, assurance, and the necessary framework to manage the process effectively.

Unicenter Patch Management helps ensure enterprise systems are equipped with the most current software patches available, and provides the assurance that deployed patches stay in place and remain effective. The result is a comprehensive patch management process that is both structured and streamlined, significantly increasing the efficiency of IT. New features for Unicenter Patch Management r11.1 include:

The CA Content Team is pleased to announce the May release of Unicenter Patch Management's Microsoft Security Hot-Fix Roll-up Packages.

The Roll-up Packages include the following new security patches:
