CA Harvest Change Manager Openmake Option r6.4.1 is GA
The CA Harvest Change Manager Openmake Option product team is pleased to announce the general availability (GA) of CA Harvest Change Manager Openmake Option r6.4.1.

When you are ready to obtain the update to this release, choose one of the following methods of ordering:

  • Download your copy of CA Harvest Change Manager Openmake Option using SupportConnectSM.
  • Call the CA Orders Department at 1-800-841-8743.
  • Contact your local Customer Representative.

For customers outside North America, contact your local CA Support Center to determine general availability of this new release.

Applying Hot Fixes on CA Harvest Change Manager
Starting with CA Harvest Change Manager r7, the CA Harvest Change Manager Sustaining Engineering team has begun making available to users critical Hot Fixes. These Hot Fixes represent interim critical fixes for a specific release level that you may want to install if you encounter the behavior described in the Solution Record for the Hot Fix.

CA Endevor® Change Manager r7 Global Type Sequence Informational Technote
This Knowledge Base article contains details on the implementation of Global Type Sequencing. This new feature greatly simplifies the maintenance of the type sequence definitions and changes the way CA Endevor Change Manager sequences actions when the SCL of a job contains elements from multiple systems.

Populating Entity and Attribute Definitions Using the AllFusion® ERwin® Data Modeler API
This Knowledge Base article describes one method for importing Entity and Attribute definitions into your model from a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. However, a more direct and efficient method is provided by AllFusion ERwin Data Modeler API. This Knowledge Base article and sample application demonstrates how you can use Microsoft Excel Macros and Visual Basic to import Entity and Attribute definitions directly from your spreadsheet to your AllFusion ERwin Data Modeler 4.1.4 model.

Export/Import of an Oracle Database for AllFusion® Model Manager r7
You do not need to do anything specific if you upgrade the database instance on which you are hosting your AllFusion Model Manager. AllFusion CA-File Master Plus for IMS provides a set of powerful and easy-to-use tools for manipulating IMS databases, including segment selection filtering as well as data display and modification using COBOL or PL/I layouts.

AllFusion® ERwin® Data Modeler r7 Training
The Ohio Enterprise Modeling User Group, OEMUG, is sponsoring two training days this summer on the newest release of ERwin. The class, CA's AllFusion ERwin Data Modeler: r7 Highlights, is course ER170 in the CA Training Catalog. Anybody is welcome to attend this training. There are no membership restrictions. However, OEMUG members enjoy a member discount. All potential students can qualify for an early bird discount.
