AllFusion® Harvest Change Manager r7 is GA
The AllFusion Harvest Change Manager product team recently announced the General Availability (GA) of AllFusion Harvest Change Manager (CM) r7. For features and highlights of this release, read the AllFusion Harvest Change Manager r7 Data Sheet.

When you are ready to obtain the update to this release, choose one of the following methods of ordering:
  • Download your copy of AllFusion Harvest CM r7 using SupportConnectSM or place your order by submitting an AllFusion Harvest CM r7 online order form located on the AllFusion Harvest CM SupportConnect product home page.
  • Call the Computer Associates Orders Department at 1-800-841-8743.
  • Contact your local Customer Advocate.
For customers outside North America, contact your local Computer Associates Support Center to determine general availability of this new maintenance release.

AllFusion® Harvest Change Manager Plug-ins for Eclipse 3.0 and 2.1.2 is GA
The AllFusion Harvest Change Manager (CM) product team recently announced the General Availability (GA) of r6.1.0 of the AllFusion Harvest Plug-in for Eclipse 3.0. This version is compatible with both AllFusion Harvest CM r7 and AllFusion Harvest CM r5.2.1 P4. New features include the following:
  • Simplified Harvest New Connection Wizard
  • Support for Eclipse Project-Specific AllFusion Harvest CM Contexts
  • Enhanced Repositories View
  • New Add to Workspace Wizard
  • Enhanced AllFusion Harvest CM Project Sharing Wizard
  • Repositories View Filtering
The AllFusion Harvest Change Manager product team also announced General Availability (GA) r5.1.2 of the AllFusion Harvest Plug-in for Eclipse 2.1.2. This Plug-in is compatible with both AllFusion Harvest CM r7 and AllFusion Harvest CM r5.2.1 P4.

AllFusion® Harvest Change Manager Performance Management
AllFusion Harvest CM r7 includes several configuration options that you can customize to yield optimal performance for your AllFusion Harvest CM environment.

For options to configure your server, broker, and other AllFusion Harvest components for best performance, see the AllFusion Harvest Change Manager Administrator Guide. Key parameters that can directly affect performance are listsize and commsize. Listsize specifies the number of records to retrieve from the database and send across the network at the same time. Commsize specifies the size of the data buffer sent between the agent and the server during check-in and check-out.

AllFusion® Modeling Suite
AllFusion® Model Manager r4.1.4 SP3 User Interface Enhancements
AllFusion Model Manager r4.1.4 SP3, contains two new user interface features. The first feature allows the user to disable the version option in the ModelMart Library Manager. The second feature provides a sort function that sorts models and sub-models alphabetically in the ModelMart Open dialog. Read more about these two enhancements.

Using the Generate Check Box in AllFusion® ERwin® Data Modeler Forward Engineering
The AllFusion ERwin Data Modeler Forward Engineering functionality uses your graphical model to automatically generate the necessary DDL to turn your logical design into a physical database. However, you may not want to forward engineer everything in your model. Read how AllFusion ERwin Data Modeler provides options at many different levels to specify which Data Definition Language (DDL) you do - or do not - want generated.

AllFusion® Repository r4 for z/OS Utility Menu
Administering the repository inevitably involves running some utilities, such as adding a new status or workstation or running an orphan delete. Up until the new release, customers had to customize the JCL distributed in SAMPJCL, keep it somewhere, and submit it each time. Customer now can select the utility they want from a simple menu. Read how the most widely used utilities can be generated outside of the repository using the AllFusion Repository for z/OS utility menu.
