Application Servers and Threads in Web Generation
To use MessageBoxes and OCX controls with AllFusion® Gen's Web Generation option, the threading option of the assembling utility must be turned on.

Web Generation passes the ServletRequest and ServletResponse objects to the thread it creates when threading is selected. Some application servers such as WebSphere 5.1 on AIX do not allow deployed applications to create secondary threads and provide a non-thread safe version of the ServletRequest and ServletResponse objects. If your Web Generation application uses either MessageBoxes or OCX controls, you will not be able to execute it under such application servers.
