AllFusion® 2E Web Option r8.1 Cumulative PTF Available
AllFusion 2E Web Option r8.1 minimizes the effort required to web-enable IBM iSeries 5250 green screen applications, particularly those generated by the AllFusion 2E development tool. Disabling Top-Level Menu Items in AllFusion® Plex for Windows GUI Clients
With AllFusion Plex generated for Windows GUI clients, it is not possible to use a standard Set State statement to disable top-level menu items. The corresponding feature works successfully in Java GUI clients. Read the full details to implement this functionality in Windows GUI clients, as you can use the C++ source code documented in the recently published Solution QI63132.

AllFusion® Change and Configuration Management Suite
AllFusion® Endevor® Change Manager r7 is GA
The AllFusion Endevor Change Manager (AllFusion Endevor CM) Product Team announced the General Availability (GA) of AllFusion Endevor CM r7. For features and highlights of this release, read the AllFusion Endevor CM r7 Data Sheet.

When you are ready to receive AllFusion Endevor CM r7, you may choose one of the following methods of ordering:
  • Place your order by submitting an AllFusion Endevor CM online order form located on the AllFusion Endevor CM SupportConnectSM web page.
  • Download this product through SupportConnect.
  • For North America orders, you may call the Computer Associates International, Inc. (CA) Orders Department at 1-800-841-8743. If you are outside of North America, please call your local account representative or the local CA office.
  • Contact your local Customer Advocate.
In conjunction with the above general availability announcement, the AllFusion Endevor CM product team has also announced that the support program for AllFusion Endevor CM r4
(all levels) will expire effective September 1, 2006.

The AllFusion Harvest Change Manager (AllFusion Harvest CM) Development Team is looking for beta sites to test the new AllFusion Harvest CM r7. AllFusion® Harvest Change Manager Field Certified Add-On Utilities
CA now offers a library of field certified add-on utilities for AllFusion Harvest Change Manager (AllFusion Harvest CM). They can be used to enhance and extend your deployments of AllFusion Harvest CM with rich features to increase usability as well as provide a unique, personal, and valuable interaction point in your change and configuration management (CCM) environment.

They have been developed by CA Technology Services™ and have been tested in the field, but have not been certified by the AllFusion Harvest CM development lab. They are provided on an "as is" basis without warranties or representation of any kind. As such, CA Customer Support is not able to provide support.

The utilities are offered through download only and is located on the AllFusion Harvest CM SupportConnectSM web page. Also, be sure to check this web page frequently as new updates will be posted regularly.

The AllFusion Repository Development Team would like to inform customers to get ready for AllFusion Repository r4 SP2 for z/OS, as it will soon become generally available (GA). This service pack contains over 75 published solutions spread over the base product and 14 of its components. Customers can use AllFusion Repository for z/OS SP2 to install a new repository, upgrade from AllFusion Repository r3.8 for z/OS, or install maintenance on top of an existing AllFusion r4 repository.

NEW! Life Cycle Management User Group
Many companies are coping with the stringent life cycle management (LCM) requirements thrust upon them by Sarbanes/Oxley and other regulatory entities. The Life Cycle Management User Group, or LCMUG, offers a means to collect and share experiences, tips, tricks, knowledge, and any other resources that will help members make informed decisions to effectively protect the software assets of their companies, while ensuring compliance with government regulations and auditors. The LCMUG is an officially recognized Computer Associates user group and membership is open to anyone, anywhere having a legitimate interest in CA's LCM portfolio.

Meetings will be held through webcast, video, and other electronic means. LCMUG is helping members that currently use, or are exploring, any of Computer Associates' AllFusion® LCM tools including: AllFusion® Endevor® Change Manager, AllFusion® Harvest Change Manager, AllFusion® Change Manager Enterprise Workbench, AllFusion® CA-Panvalet®, and AllFusion® CA-Librarian®. More importantly, the user group is addressing the complex issues related to LCM across platform boundaries, including mainframe, distributed, web applications, and project documentation.

As with any user group, there is no cost associated with membership in LCMUG and the potential benefits are vast. If you would like to become a member of LCMUG, register on the CA User Group web page and do the following:
