AllFusion® Harvest Change Manager Field-Certified Add-On Utilities
The AllFusion Harvest Change Manager (AllFusion Harvest CM) add-on utilities website is a great success. The website was recently refreshed with new utilities, updates to existing utilities, and enhancements to the download page based on customer feedback. Specifically, we added icons and a date column to indicate which utilities are new or have been recently updated.

These field-certified add-on utilities can be used to enhance and extend your deployments of AllFusion Harvest CM with rich features to increase usability and provide a unique, personal, and valuable interaction point in your change and configuration management (CCM) environment.

These utilities were developed by CA Technology Services™ and have been tested in the field but not certified by the AllFusion Harvest CM development lab. They are provided on an "as is" basis without warranties or representation of any kind. Therefore, CA Customer Support cannot provide support.

These utilities are offered through download only; the download site is located on the AllFusion Harvest CM SupportConnectSM web page. Also, be sure to check this web page frequently as updates are posted regularly.

Underscores in Element Names
Are your underscored element names from AllFusion® Endevor® Change Manager (CM) r3.9 causing errors in AllFusion Endevor CM r4 or AllFusion Endevor CM r7?

Customers upgrading from AllFusion Endevor CM r3.9 to AllFusion Endevor CM r4 or AllFusion Endevor CM r7 may find that elements in their inventory with names that contain underscores "_" are not supported. The ability to create and maintain these element names in AllFusion Endevor CM r3.9 existed due to a product defect. R4 batch ADD's of elements of these names are validated using the AllFusion Endevor CM parser, and an error is issued when encountering the underscore. However, it was recently discovered that elements could be defined with underscores "_" in the name when adding in foreground. This has been determined to also be a product defect. AllFusion Endevor CM will be corrected to use consistent element name validation processing, issuing an error if invalid characters are found during the AllFusion Endevor CM ADD of an element in both Batch and Foreground actions, and an APAR has been made available for r7.

Since HFS/ZFS elements cannot be added through the foreground, this parsing has no effect upon them. If some element names are found that contain the underscore, the elements may be corrected by executing the TRANSFER action to an element in the same inventory location with a valid name.

Prior to AllFusion ERwin Data Modeler r4.1.4 SP2, abbreviation conversion from the Glossary applied to a partial word match. This behavior has been modified in AllFusion ERwin Data Modeler r4.1.4 SP3 to work only with a complete match. The Abbreviation Changes document explains this change and includes an example of the new behavior.
