At Computer Associates International, Inc. (CA), we strive to continually innovate and improve our software and services to meet your changing requirements. Consistent with that objective, we are pleased to announce the General Availability (GA) of CleverPath Portal r4.7.

Available for Windows, Linux and UNIX environments and fully internationalized for 10 languages, CleverPath Portal r4.7 includes dozens of new and improved features. CleverPath Portal r4.7 introduces comprehensive new portal-oriented content management services plus significant usability improvements, customer-driven enhancements and upgraded platform support to the core portal functionality.

CleverPath Portal r4.7 provides the following key capabilities:

  • Content Management Services. With a focus on management, review, approval and publication of content bound for delivery in CleverPath Portal, r4.7 includes a preconfigured content management services workplace with specific portlets designed to let content owners easily add, review, modify and approve document-oriented content prior to publication into the CleverPath Portal knowledge library.

  • Usability Improvements. Based on an extensive usability study and Computer Associates' User-Centered Design process, CleverPath Portal r4.7 includes a number of usability and user interface improvements designed to provide a more intuitive and consistent user experience. These improvements are primarily focused in content-oriented features and include the use of tabs, row highlighting in lists, more extensive paging controls in search lists, portlet titling, the ability to set Library or Channels as the default view, updated layouts and a new workplace configuration interface in addition to drag-and-drop.

  • Other Enhancements. CleverPath Portal r4.7 includes many other enhancements - many of them a direct result of customer requests - that are designed to expand the capabilities of CleverPath Portal. A complete list of enhancements is provided in the CleverPath™ Portal r4.7 Release Summary.
