We are pleased to announce CA-Realia II Workbench for 390 Assembler. CA-Realia II Workbench for 390 Assembler is a mainframe-compatible, PC-based assembler/debugger for IBM OS/390 basic assembler language (BAL) programs and subroutines.

As a part of our regular product planning cycle, we've reviewed the position of CA-Realia 370 in the marketplace, both from a sales and technology perspective. In so doing, we've discovered that while it still provides useful functions to some clients, its value to most clients and prospective clients in the market has declined significantly over the past few years, due mostly to changes in the technology landscape. We have determined that it is no longer feasible for us to continue investing in new development for CA-Realia 370.

As a result of this, Computer Associates has decided to functionally stabilize CA-Realia 370. Functionally stabilizing this product means that it will no longer be enhanced and that maintenance and support for CA-Realia 370 will continue through October 2002, or through the end of your current licensed maintenance cycle (whichever comes first).

CA-Realia II Workbench for 390 Assembler, version 3.1, on the other hand, provides similar functionality to CA-Realia 370, but utilizes more current technology and with greatly enhanced features including support for Windows 9x, NT and 2000 in 32-bit mode. Unlike CA-Realia 370, CA-Realia II Workbench for 390 Assembler, version 3.1, also features a source-level, real-time debugger that is integrated with the Workbench's GUI development environment.
