Important Notice regarding daylight savings for AutoSys customers

Importance notice regarding Australian Daylight Savings changes for the 2006 Commonwealth Games.

Due to a change of daylight savings this year (only in Australia for the Commonwealth Games), some clients using Unicenter AutoSys Job Management will require a patch to support the changed transition dates. Affected cities in Australia are Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney, Hobart and Adelaide. Clients not operating in the affected time zones will not be impacted.

Scope

The Commonwealth Games are scheduled to be held during March 2006 in Melbourne Australia. Several Australian states have changed the daylight saving time transition end dates to the first Sunday of April 2006. These states include New South Wales, Victoria, Australian Capital Territory, South Australia and Tasmania.

Generally Available (GA) versions of Unicenter AutoSys Job Management will be impacted by customers implementing the Microsoft hot fix that accommodates the Commonwealth Games Daylight Savings transition dates. Systems that use Unicenter AutoSys Job Management in the affected states of Australia will not correctly reflect the new transition date from Daylight Savings Time on the April 02 2006.

Solution

CA Technical Support will post corrective maintenance to address this change of daylight savings transition date, week beginning Monday, March 20 2006. Product Information Bulletins and Hyper patches will also be available on SupportConnect and from Technical Support.
