In January 2007, CA announced the first step in a strategy to bring you the most advanced and comprehensive threat protection in the industry.

Since its announcement, CA has been working towards a single engine as part of its strategy for enhanced threat protection.

On 6/12/2007, CA is releasing the next step of this strategy within signature packages that will automatically complete the single Anti-Virus engine plan on the eTrust Anti-Virus 7.0 and eTrust Anti-Virus 7.1 platforms; in which the eTrust Anti-Virus 7.x User Interface will be changed in specific locations.
