Computer Associates International, Inc. (CA) is continually working to improve our software and services to best meet the needs of our customers. With CA's recent announcement of the general availability of Unicenter ServicePlus Service Desk 5.5/5.51 SP3 we would like to take this opportunity to review the support schedule for currently supported releases of Unicenter ServicePlus Service Desk (formerly known as Advanced Help Desk (TNGAHD99000).

With the announced availability of Unicenter ServicePlus Service Desk 5.5/5.51 SP3, support for Releases 5.5, 5.51, 5.5/5.5.1 SP01, 5.5/5.5.1 SP02 are now scheduled to be discontinued as of May 31, 2005.

If you have not yet upgraded to Unicenter ServicePlus Service Desk Version 6.0, we urge you to do so as soon as possible so you can take full advantage of the latest new features and enhancements this release has to offer. For additional information on Unicenter ServicePlus Service Desk please visit the Unicenter ServicePlus Service Desk pages at http://SupportConnect.ca.com.

CA would like to help make your upgrade to the latest release of Unicenter ServicePlus Service Desk as straightforward and successful as possible. Therefore to assist you, we are offering the following:

  • A no-charge upgrade from Unicenter ServicePlus Service Desk 5.0, 5.5 or 5.5.1 to Unicenter ServicePlus Service Desk 5.51 SP3 or the latest release, Version 6.0 for any customer with an active maintenance contract.

  • Publication of documents to help prepare you for your upgrade to Unicenter ServicePlus Service Desk 6.0. Those documents can be viewed at http://SupportConnect.ca.com.

  • CA Technology Services is available to assist in any or all parts of the upgrade, including analysis of the current system, preparation for the upgrade, testing, and performing the upgrade itself. For more information please outline your needs at http://www.ca.com/services.

  • CA is committed to providing superior support to our customers using our technology solutions. We are pleased to announce Lifeline Services - an Extended Support Services option from CA designed to extend support for older versions of CA products that have been officially discontinued.
